The RAWSISTAZ Reviewers (TRR) are an established part of the literary community, becoming one of (if not the first) online and national organization specializing in reviewing and promoting African-American literature.  Because of the size of the RAWSISTAZ website, it was necessary for us to give our book reviews a new home--here at BlackBookReviews.net.  Within the thousands of pages of this site, you will be afforded the opportunity to view new, old, mainstream, independent, and small press books we have reviewed in our almost 8 year history.

No One But You by Maureen Smith

Damien and Althea’s eyes met over a crowded room at a local nightspot, where Damien was supposed to be celebrating his birthday with his co-workers, all  FBI agents.  However, the heat the two emulated was too hot to ignore and the celebration went to a private location and the two engaged in their own birthday commemoration.  Neither thinking it was more than two consenting adults engaging in a one-night stand. But imagine what happens Monday morning when they realize they work for the same FBI field office and they will be partners.

Chocolate Cherry Milk Evolution by Java Bomani

CHOCOLATE CHERRY MILK EVOLUTION is a compilation of 52 poems, the majority of them discussing the good, the bad and ugly of relationships and some social issues as well.  Bomani, in his introduction, tells readers the first chapter of the book titled Chocolate Cherry Milk is his original poetry book, which he published in 1999 and the second chapter Evolution is his newer poetry used to complete CHOCOLATE CHERRY MILK EVOLUTION.
